Get to know your new friends while enjoying some delicious Portuguese cuisine! Begin to settle into your new surroundings.

Day 2: Sinatra

Drive to Sintra, a charming municipality on the Portuguese Riviera best known for its beautiful palaces and natural beauty. Walk the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira on a self-guided tour.

In the afternoon, hike to the 10th-century Moorish castle, Castelo dos Mouros. Constructed on an exposed rocky outcrop, you’ll see spectacular views of the palace-dotted hills of Sintra.

Replenish your energy with a stop at a local bakery to try two of Sintra’s famous pastries, queijada and travesseiro! Upon returning to Lisbon, enjoy a free evening.

Day 3: Evora

Travel to the heart of Alentejo, Evora. Explore the historic center, which dates back to Roman times and has housed several kings of Portugal.

Go on a guided walking tour to learn about medieval architecture. Visit two of Evora’s most popular attractions, the Bones Chapel and the Cathedral.

Gather with your group for dinner to taste the delicious cuisine of the Alentejo region! Be sure to try some of the world-renowned wines.

Day 4: Wine Tasting & Lagos

Enjoy a peaceful morning in Evora, and then get ready to taste some of Alentejo’s famous wines at a local winery in the countryside. Your visit will include a traditional Alentejo lunch.

The next stop is Lagos, a charming town in Portugal’s Algarve region. Lagos boasts a rich maritime heritage, pristine beaches, and is full of character. It’s no wonder it's one of Portugal’s top destinations.

This evening, you’ll have free time to soak in the culture of Lagos, explore the historical sites of the Old Town, and, if you are feeling up to it, experience the vibrant nightlife.

Day 5: Ponta da Piedade Kayaking

Today, you will be kayaking around one of the finest natural features in the Algarve region, Ponta da Piedade! Here, the coast is formed by dense corroded cliffs, which have been carved in rocky pillars, natural tunnels, and hidden caves.

After kayaking, you have a free afternoon to relax on the beaches, or explore on your own.

Rejoin your friends for dinner in the town and continue to experience more Portuguese cuisine.

Day 6: Culatra Island

Say goodbye to Lagos and travel to the traditional fishing town of Olhao. This little seaside town offers a glimpse into authentic Algarvian life.

Take a short ferry ride to the beautiful sandbar island of Culatra, considered one the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve. Between swimming and sunbathing, be sure to watch the local fisherman bring in the day’s catch.

Return to the mainland, freshen up, and head out with your friends to explore this tiny seafront town's many restaurants and cafes. If you like seafood, we highly recommend ordering it this evening!
